Debra became a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in 1980 and has been studying communication and somatic therapies since then. She did extensive training  with Stephen and Ondrea Levine and Gay and Katie Hendricks in the field of Conscious Relationship.

She has developed an expertise in Relationship as Spiritual Practice and has facilitated groups, workshops and retreats on this topic for couples for 35 years. Her experience of 40 years as a therapist, 25 years as a meditation teacher at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, and 10 years as a teacher of qigong weave together in her couples work.

Her greatest joy and teacher about the path of relationship is her husband of 38 years.
